The British army is smuggling heroin out of Afghanistan to the UK on military planes, according to yesterday’s Sunday Times:
“Evidence from local drug smugglers has for some time suggested that British troops may be involved in the (drug) trade…..most of the foreigners who do these deals are the military…they are carrying these drugs in the military airlines…”
Seems that perhaps British troops are learning from their American masters.
The CIA ran the clandestine “Air America” operation which transported heroin from the “Golden Triangle” either in military or civilian aircraft, during the Vietnam war.
Vast quantities of heroin were also smuggled into America inside the coffins of dead soldiers being flown back to be buried.
Implemented in 2000-2001, the Taliban’s drug eradication program led to a 94 percent decline in opium cultivation. In 2001, according to UN figures, opium production had fallen to 185 tons. Immediately following the October 2001 US led invasion, production increased dramatically, regaining its historical levels.
Even the New York Times admitted this as a fact, so the question has to be asked why is the trade in Afghan heroin now soaring, how is it getting onto our streets and ultimately who is profiting from the misery and death it brings?
The colonial mindset has always been to control “energy”, whether that’s slavery, oil or drugs.
Just like Nino Brown said all those years ago;
The CIA flooded black neighbourhood’s in America with guns and drugs to keep the people fighting against one another, instead of fighting the system that had enslaved them.
I fear the same may well be happening right here in the UK.
