ITV Documentary Exposure: ‘Libya, Gaddafi & the IRA’ used footage from videogames to bolster war propaganda

Here’s an upload of a video from Monday nights ITV documentary into Colonel Gaddhafi’s supposed support of the IRA. It contains shocking footage of a helicopter being shot down using weapons allegedly supplied by the Libyan baddie to the IRA baddies.

Except of course it’s actually from a video game “ArmA 2”.

The first episode of Exposure, which was watched by 1.3 million viewers, examined the relationship between the former Libyan dictator and the IRA.

The shaky camera footage, captioned “IRA film 1988” showed a helicopter being shot down accompanied by a voiceover: “With Gaddafi’s heavy machine guns it was possible to shoot down a helicopter as the terrorists’ own footage of 1988 shows.”

“This was what the security forces feared most,” said the voiceover. “It may have been a lucky hit, but for the army and crew once was enough. No one died in this attack.”

Words absolutely fail me.

ITV have been caught absolutely red handed in fabricating propaganda to promote Britain’s farcical role as co-cheerleader (along with mini napoleon psychozy) for the war over Libya’s natural resources.

If you’re looking for the footage in the documentary in the ITV player – I would tell you where to go and watch it (the footage is in place from 28 minutes, 20 seconds) but being rumbled, ITV have pulled their war profiteering propaganda.

William Hague has already stated that Britain “won’t be left behind” in getting it’s share of contracts in Libya, with David Cameron chipping in with the UK will “play its part”.

The official aim of the “Friends of Libya” summit was to split up the mineral wealth and the reconstruction (of all the areas blown up by NATO, UK & France) contracts, in essence expropriating Libyan wealth by other means.

We’ve seen all the “reconstruction” projects in Afghanistan & Iraq right?

The infrastructure destroyed by the Americans & British in their illegal invasion means Iraq has massive shortfalls of electricity, with blackouts commonplace.

The money earmarked for reconstruction?

$6.6 Billion the US government’s auditing department have declared as being stolen.

Add into the mix that the real power-broking was happening behind the scenes to carve up Libya, with UK oil firms pressing William Hague to get them the juiciest fruits from the Libyan tree.

Is Gaddafi a mad man?

Of course he is, if a man coins the phrase “Allah, Muammar & Libya only” you know he’s a little bit special.

Then again Robert Mugabe isn’t that far off…nor is our favourite North Korean Kim Jong-Il, but guess what, none of those countries have any mineral wealth or a strategic advantage that we need, so we leave them alone.

OIL – Operation Invade Libya, it’s always been about oil.

That’s why the CIA sent 1500 Al Qaeda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya & why regime change was needed – OIL!

That’s why the mass media produce propaganda like ITV1’s Exposure Gaddafi & the IRA, to reinforce their message as to why it’s necessary to blow up another country, because if the people knew the real reasons why in 20 years time a Libyan wants to attack the UK, it has nothing to do with the BS notion of “freedom and democracy” but the war, murder and theft that was committed in the name of the citizens of the UK by our government.

This is what our soldiers are dying for, there is no noble cause, there are no ideals you are defending. British soldiers are finally getting the picture that it’s all “about strategic influence; economics & mineral wealth”.

It is the interests of multinational corporations that will lobby the government and if not the ruling government, then its political rivals who will drop their pants and bendover to the same corporate & media leeches that will back them into getting into Downing Street.

It’s cost the us, the taxpayer, more than £1.75bn to bomb Libya, at a time where government spending is being slashed left, right and centre, but they can still fund highly dubious acts of aggression abroad.

Now that’s a freedom and democracy that I never voted for.

Then he صلى الله عليه وسلم said, “Which town is this?”

We replied, “Allah and His Apostle know better.”

On that he kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. Then he said, “Isn’t it the town of Mecca?”

We replied, “Yes, ”

Then he said, “Which day is today?”

We replied, “Allah and His Apostle know better.”

He kept quiet so long that we thought that he might name it with another name. Then he said, “Isn’t it the day of An-Nahr (i.e. sacrifice)?”

We replied, “Yes.”

He said, “So your blood, your properties, (The sub-narrator Muhammad said, ‘I think the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم also said: And your honour..) are sacred to one another like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this city of yours, in this month of yours; and surely, you will meet your Lord, and He will ask you about your deeds.

Beware!

Do not become infidels after me, cutting the throats of one another. It is incumbent on those who are present to convey this message (of mine) to those who are absent. May be that some of those to whom it will be conveyed will understand it better than those who have actually heard it.”

Never Forget The Massacres at Sabra & Shatila

For three days in September 1982, Israeli forces in collusion with the Lebanese Phalangist militia’s, slaughtered, raped and maimed a large number of unarmed civilians inside the encircled and sealed Palestinian refugee camps of Sabra and Shatila. As many as 3,000 innocent men, women and children were massacred, but to this day no one has been held accountable for this genocidal act.

For 40 hours in September 1982, members of the Israeli-allied Lebanese Phalangist militia raped, killed, and injured a large number of unarmed civilians, mostly children, women and elderly people inside the encircled and sealed Sabra and Shatila camps. The estimate of victims varies between 700 (the official Israeli figure) to 3,500.

On 6 June 1982, the Israeli army invaded Lebanon in retaliation for the attempted assassination of Israeli Ambassador Shlomo Argov in London on 4 June. The Israeli secret services had that same day attributed the attempted assassination to a dissident Palestinian organisation backed by the government of Iraq, which was at the time eager to deflect world attention from its recent setbacks in the Iran-Iraq war. The Israeli operation, planned well in advance, was called “Operation Peace for Galilee.”

Initially, the Israeli government had announced that its intention was to penetrate just 40km into Lebanese territory. The military command, however, under the orders of Defence Minister Ariel Sharon, decided to execute a more ambitious project that Sharon had prepared several months earlier. Having occupied the south of the country and destroyed any Palestinian and Lebanese resistance there, simultaneously committing a series of violations against the civilian population, Israeli troops proceeded to penetrate as far as Beirut. By 18 June 1982 they had surrounded the Palestine Liberation Organisation’s (PLO) armed forces in the western part of the Lebanese capital.

According to Lebanese statistics, the Israeli offensive, particularly the intensive shelling of Beirut, caused 18,000 deaths and 30,000 injuries, mostly among civilians.

After two months of fighting, a cease-fire was negotiated through the mediation of United States Envoy Philip Habib. Under the terms of these negotiations, the PLO was to evacuate Beirut under the supervision of a multinational force deployed in the evacuated part of the town. The Habib Accords envisaged that West Beirut would subsequently be under the control of the Lebanese army, and the Palestinian leadership was given guarantees by the Americans regarding the security of civilians in the camps after their departure.

The evacuation of the PLO ended on 1 September 1982.

On 10 September 1982, the multinational forces left Beirut. The next day, Sharon announced that “2,000 terrorists” had remained inside the Palestinian refugee camps around Beirut. On Wednesday 15 September, the day after the assassination of President-elect Bashir Gemayel, the Israeli army occupied West Beirut, “encircling and sealing” the camps of Sabra and Shatila, which were inhabited by Lebanese and Palestinian civilians, the entirety of armed resistors (more than 14,000 people) having evacuated Beirut and its suburbs.

Historians and journalists agree that it was probably during a meeting between Ariel Sharon and Bashir Gemayel in Bikfaya on 12 September that an agreement was made authorizing the “Lebanese forces” to “mop up” these Palestinian camps. Sharon had already announced, on 9 July 1982, his intention to send the Phalangist forces into West Beirut, and in his autobiography he confirms having negotiated the operation during his meeting with Gemayel in Bikfaya.

According to statements made by Ariel Sharon on 22 September 1982 in the Knesset (Israeli parliament), the decision that the Phalangists should enter the refugee camps was made on Wednesday, 15 September 1982 at 15.30. Also according to General Sharon, the Israeli Command had received the following instruction: “[t]he Tsahal forces are forbidden to enter the refugee camps. The ‘mopping-up’ of the camps will be carried out by the Phalanges or the Lebanese army.”

By dawn on 15 September 1982, Israeli fighter-bombers were flying low over West Beirut and Israeli troops had secured their entry. From 9 am, General Sharon was present to personally direct the Israeli penetration, installing himself in the general army area at the Kuwait embassy junction situated at the edge of Shatila camp. From the roof of this six-story building, it was possible to observe the town and the camps of Sabra and Shatila clearly.

By midday, the camps of Sabra and Shatila – in reality a single zone of refugee camps in the south of West Beirut – were surrounded by Israeli tanks and soldiers, who had installed checkpoints all around the camps in order to monitor the entry or exit of any person. During the late afternoon and evening, the camps were shelled.

By Thursday 16 September 1982, the Israeli army controlled West Beirut. In a press release, the Israeli military spokesperson declared, “Tsahal controls all strategic points in Beirut. The refugee camps, inside which there is a concentration of terrorists, are surrounded and sealed.” On the morning of 16 September, the following order was issued by the army high command: ” [t]he searching and mopping up of the camps will be done by the Phalangists/Lebanese army.”

During the course of the morning, shells were being fired down at the camps from higher elevations and Israeli snipers were shooting at people in the streets. By approximately midday, the Israeli military command gave the Phalangist militia the green light to enter the refugee camps. Shortly after 5pm, a unit of approximately 150 Phalangists entered Shatila camp from the south and south-west.

At this point, General Amir Drori telephoned Ariel Sharon and announced, “Our friends are advancing into the camps. We have co-ordinated their entry.” To which Sharon replied, “Congratulations! Our friends’ operation is approved.”

For the next 40 hours the Phalangist militia raped, killed, and injured a large number of unarmed civilians, mostly children, women and elderly people inside the “encircled and sealed” camps. These actions, accompanied or followed by systematic roundups, backed or reinforced by the Israeli army, resulted in dozens of disappearances.

The Israeli army had full knowledge of what was going on in the camps right up until the morning of Saturday 18 September 1982, and its leaders were in continuous contact with the militia leaders who perpetrated the massacre. Yet they never intervened. Instead, they prevented civilians from escaping the camps and arranged for the camps to be illuminated throughout the night by flares launched into the sky from helicopters and mortars.

The count of victims varies between 700 (the official Israeli figure) and 3,500 (in the inquiry launched by the Israeli journalist Amnon Kapeliouk). The exact figure can never be determined because, in addition to the approximately 1,000 people who were buried in communal graves by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) or in the cemeteries of Beirut by members of their families, a large number of corpses were buried beneath bulldozed buildings by the militia members themselves. Also, particularly on 17 and 18 September, hundreds of people were carried away alive in trucks towards unknown destinations, never to return.

The victims and survivors of the massacres have never been deemed entitled to a formal investigation of the tragedy, whether in Lebanon, Israel, or elsewhere. After 400,000 Israelis took to the streets in protest once news of the massacre was broadcast by the international media, the Israeli parliament (Knesset) named a commission of inquiry, to be presided over by Yitzhak Kahan, in September 1982. In spite of the limitations of the Commission’s mandate (limited because it was a political rather than a judicial mandate and because the voices and demands of the victims were completely ignored), the Commission concluded that the Minister of Defence was personally responsible for the massacres.

Upon the insistence of the Commission, and the demonstrations that followed its report, Sharon resigned from his post of Minister of Defence but remained in the government as Minister without Portfolio. It is worth noting that during the Peace Now demonstration immediately prior to Sharon’s “resignation,” demonstrators were attacked with grenades, resulting in the death of a young demonstrator.

Several non-official inquiries and reports, including those of Sean MacBride and of the Nordic Commission, based mainly on the testimony of western eyewitnesses, as well as other pieces of journalistic and historical research, have assembled vital pieces of information.

Despite evidence of what the UN Security Council described as a “criminal massacre,” and the ranking of the Sabra and Shatila massacres in humankind’s collective memory as among the most heinous crimes of the 20th century, the man found “personally responsible” for this crime, as well as his associates and the people who carried out the massacres, have never been pursued or punished. In fact the warlord Ariel Sharon was proudly rewarded for his actions with the Premiership of his country and was welcomed into the White House with open arms, as a man of peace.

In 1984, Israeli journalists Schiff and Ya’ari concluded their chapter on the massacre with this sobering reflection: “If there is a moral to the painful episode of Sabra and Shatila, it has yet to be acknowledged.” The reality of this impunity remains true to this day.

The United Nations Security Council condemned the massacre with Resolution 521 (19 September 1982). This condemnation was followed by a 16 December 1982 General Assembly resolution qualifying the massacre as an “act of genocide.”

The perpetual acts of genocide carried out in the 28 years since Sabra and Shatilla are countless. Ask yourself how many more have died, how many more have been butchered under the tracks of armoured caterpillar bulldozers, been picked off by snipers, or been blown to pieces by missiles fired from Israeli helicopters.

The truth of the matter is that the blood of the Palestinians is cheap and plentiful, there are no remembrance ceremonies for those who died, no ringing of any bells, no remembrance of the fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, whose lives were taken in such a savage and brutal manner.

America – You can no longer use 9/11 to justify your actions

It’s been ten years since 9/11, the one single event that’s used to justify every single bit of criminal action committed by the US & her junior partners ever since.

I was really drawn out over whether or not to comment any further on what has been the overkill of the 9/11 industry this week. It really was a good week to bury bad news, chemical bombs were being used by Nato in Bani Walid, but no, all you were bombarded with was the constant images and flashbacks to THAT morning.

A few years ago I wrote a piece for MPACUK titled the “Septembers of our lives”

I rehashed and added to that a year later, including several other terrorist atrocities committed on September 11 that the media don’t make a song and dance about.

With the outpouring of 9/11 propaganda, I had a chance to drop a few of my own. Hence the blogs about Bombs on the George Washington bridge & the Israeli’s that were caught with bombs & Arab disguises as well as the five Israeli’s who filmed the 9/11 attacks & were caught celebrating?

You see if I had the power of Murdoch’s media behind me, I could endlessly play those reports until the whole world believed it to be the 100% unassailable truth. The same way the murdoch owned media empire will make you believe that two planes made the towers collapse.

Perhaps it’s time to listen to your hereos?

But then again nothing hit world trade centre tower 7 & it fell exactly the same way as the other towers that were hit by planes, strange huh?

And like my man said, America & her partners got more than their pound of flesh when they obliterated Iraq, decimated Afghanistan, pulverised Pakistan & turned the Muslim world into one sectarian driven nightmare. Any dignity or good will you had on THAT morning has long since evaporated.

My fellow blogger Julaybib dropped a piece titled “The Obligatory 9/11 Anniversary Blog” while the consistently irrepressible Mehdi Hasan noted “How the fear of being criminalised has forced Muslims into silence”

Many media bods (propagandists) argue that if 9/11 was an inside job than surely someone would have broken ranks and spilled the beans by now.

Watch the above interview and see what Richard Clarke, the Chief Counter Terror adviser to the White House 1998-2002 had to say.

And you can see for yourself where all that 9/11 charity money went to as well…some of the 9/11 profiteers, frauds, and fools have been revealed.

Just don’t expect to hear anyone accuse the military industrial complex of profiteering of the back of 9/11 anytime soon though.

A message to the American government, stop using the excuse of 9/11 to justify every single thing you do to kill muslims the world over.

Stop lying to your own citizens, the statistics show that since 9/1, only 33 deaths were from “Muslim” terrorism against an unbelievable 150,000 deaths from murders within America itself.

September 11, Bombs on the George Washington bridge & the Israeli’s that were caught with bombs & Arab disguises

On September 11, a truck packed with explosives was found on the George Washington bridge & inside it were two Israeli’s that were caught wearing Arab disguises.

Do you remember any of this?

Do you know that Israel had prior knowledge of the 9/11 attacks and has been spying on Britain & America for decades?

Do you remember the five Israeli’s who filmed the 9/11 attacks & were caught celebrating?

No, because the Moozlims did it.

Because the hijackers passports were found at the scene, they must have been made from kryptonite seeing the planes were able to bring down the towers, incinerate everyone who was aboard, but the passport survives intact?

And then with comical timing you have one of the named dead hijackers turning up alive and well, and he wasn’t the only Al-CIAda hijacker who miraculously came back from the dead.

A Mossad surveillance team made quite a public spectacle of themselves on 9-11.

The New York Times reported Thursday that a group of five men had set up video cameras aimed at the Twin Towers prior to the attack on Tuesday, and were seen congratulating one another afterwards.

Police received several calls from angry New Jersey residents claiming “middle-eastern” men with a white van were videotaping the disaster with shouts of joy and mockery.

“They were like happy, you know … They didn’t look shocked to me” said a witness.

[T]hey were seen by New Jersey residents on Sept. 11 making fun of the World Trade Centre ruins and going to extreme lengths to photograph themselves in front of the wreckage.

Witnesses saw them jumping for joy in Liberty State Park after the initial impact. Later on, other witnesses saw them celebrating on a roof in Weehawken, and still more witnesses later saw them celebrating with high fives in a Jersey City parking lot.

“It looked like they’re hooked in with this. It looked like they knew what was going to happen when they were at Liberty State Park.”

The five were on an Israeli talk show, and were asked what they were doing by the host, the response;

“Our purpose was to document the event”

How do you document the event, without knowing it’s going to happen?

CIA sent 1500 Al Qaeda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya & why regime change was needed – OIL!

The CIA sent 1500 Al-CIAda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya, Abdel Hakim Belhaj is a Al-CIAda asset and leader of the Rebel army and finally both the CIA & Mi6 had a solid working relationship with Gaddafi.

Don’t expect any of that making the mainstream media though, so let The Akh break it down for you.

Libya has always been about oil & grabbing natural resources, I made that point clear back in April in my post “O.I.L. – Operation Invade Libya” and the excellent analysis of “PETROLEUM & EMPIRE IN NORTH AFRICA”

I have written long and hard on how the US military industrial complex created Al-Qaeda (as I refer to them Al-CIAda) under my intelligence section of “Creating the terror threat”.

On 31 August 2011 The Nation (Pakistan newspaper) reported:

The CIA recruited 1,500 members of Al-Qaeda, from Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan, to fight in Libya.

Sources told The Nation:

“Most of the men have been recruited from Afghanistan.

“They are Uzbeks, Persians and Hazaras…

“Men attired in the Uzbek-style of shalwar and Hazara-Uzbek Kurta were found fighting in Libyan cities.”

“Some Uzbeks and Hazaras from Afghanistan were arrested in Balochistan for illegally traveling into Pakistan en route to Libya”

This is trustworthy reporting for one major reason, The US recently admitted they are paying off Pakistani journalists to write propaganda on it’s behalf.

It makes no sense that a journalist in Pakistan would write such a piece, after all thats what Pakistani investigative journalist Syed Saleem Shahzad wrote “Inside Al-Qaeda & the Taliban, Beyond Bin Laden and 9/11” exposing the links the US & Pakistan have with Al-CIAda, and it got him murdered.

Aljazeera has reported on the smuggling of Afghans through Pakistan.

More than 100 Afghans were discovered 20km from the border town of Quetta last week inside a container.

Most of the men were recruits for Libya’s rebel force.

He has long been linked to Al-CIAda.

Belhaj’s ‘Tripoli Brigade’, was trained in secret for two months by US Special Forces

Meanwhile documents found in one Gaddafi’s abandoned bases show that both Mi6 & CIA had a good solid working relationship with Gaddafi sending their kidnapped Muslims to Libya to be tortured to death.

What you have witnessed in Libya is regime change, instead of being carried out by american troops on the ground, you’ve had Britain & France pulling the strings, with NATO providing the firepower.

The Conservatives foreign policy is to let the Muslims kill each other & then to negotiate a percentage on rebuilding (what we just destroyed) and get a share of the oil contracts.

The race is now well and truly on for Libyan oil, with Britain & France both staking their claims, and being blasé enough to admit it publicly.
