Syria the battleground for self interest of The West & Gulf States

In my article last week “Syria, UN Resolutions & the Bigger Picture” I attempted to show the wider strands of the dirty game being played in Syria. I’ve been accosted by many who feel that I’m somehow Pro-Assad as I am lacking in my revolutionary zeal. The rather unfortunate truth of a manufactured regime change carried out by Muslims, ostensibly for the benefits of “The West” and her client states in the Middle East, is lost upon the people.

It is this exact cold hearted realism of RealPolitik that Muslims, rightly or wrongly lack. Unable to take a step back from the images of death and destruction the mass media pepper us with in their quest for humanitarian intervention (a lie exposed last week) that makes us jump in two footedly without thinking first. It is the kindness we have for our fellow Muslims that is being exploited.

That’s not me being cold hearted.

That is what the enemy sees of us.

Do I support the rebels and should Muslims in “The West”?

If we’re dealing in black and white answers, then the answer is a resounding yes.

Can we add conditions to our support?

Why not.

Crucially, do we have any say on what replaces the Assad regime?

No.

Whether you wish to accept it or not, the opposition in Syria are sponsored by the US, Britain, France, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Muslim Brotherhood, the Syrian National Council, assorted  ‘activists’ in exile, some closely linked to the British Foreign Office and the US State Department.

Reform is not the issue. Even our very own FCO have admitted it in their briefing titled “Syrian Government’s commitments to the Arab League: Myths & reality”

All of the players involved in this tragedy are like Saul on the road to Damascus, their agenda’s vary but they all converge at one point: their determination to destroy the current government.

For “The West” – Britain, France and the US – the elimination of a government and a political party that has long got in their way is the issue.

For Saudi Arabia, the issue is confronting Iran and containing Shia-ism across the region. The Sauds sent troops to Bahrain to quell the uprising and now face the Shia problem within their own borders in Qatif. This should come as no surprise to regular readers, as I pointed this out almost a year ago: “Saudi Arabia Invades Bahrain, Expect Sunni V Shia Angle To Be Played Out In The Media”

For the Muslim Brotherhood, the issue is revenge for Hafez al Assad’s repression of their revolt in 1982, the destruction of a secular government and perhaps the installation of a new system which they expect to dominate.

While the BBC are pushing the narrative of an all out sectarian civil war in Syria amongst Sunni’s and Shia’s, the fact that Syria has been dominated by the minority Alawis as the ruling elite politically & militarily  since the 1960’s is strangely absent from discourse. A conveniently forgotten fact.

For the US and their client state Saudi Arabia –  Iran, Syria and Hizbullah are three parts of the same problem. The Saud’s regard Iran as the ‘head of the snake’ and have pleaded with the US to attack it on many occasions under the Bush regime as well as the current US administration. As we’re all too aware a direct attack on Iran, would remove the cloak from the covert war already being waged and would be catastrophic to the countries waging it.

Far be it for me to tell the BBC & the western media what the fallout would be from a military attack on live nuclear reactors, not that the consequences of any “collateral damage” are ever discussed seriously.  Former UN weapons inspector Hans Blix stated  military strikes would be ”a path to disaster rather than a solution”  before adding that Iran “posed no imminent threat”.

In 2006 Iran and Syria formalised a joint defence agreement to confront ‘common threats’. Any open intervention in Syria would not be welcomed by Iran and would clearly be viewed as an opening prelude to an attack on Iran itself.

As I pointed out Russia & China are unwilling to back UN Security Council resolutions. Military planners in “The West” are using the second option to destabilise Syria. By bringing down the Syrian government and rupturing its strategic relationship with Iran and Hizbullah, the check mate position is in sight for the US and its Western, Gulf and of course Israeli partners.

Nir Rosen recently wrote a detailed piece for Al Jazeera: “Q&A: Nir Rosen on Syria’s armed opposition” of which the closing paragraphs summarise how Israel will gain from this situation.

When we take Syria in a wider context of the countries hit by the Arab Spring, we can clearly see new geopolitical boundaries being drawn. The so called “Islamist parties” (a term I dislike, but used for western discourse) have come or are likely to come to govern in Morocco, Tunisia and Egypt. Perhaps even in Libya if elections are ever held.

What parties say when they are in opposition and what they feel obliged to do when they are the ruling governments are two different propositions. Rashid Ghannushi, the leader of Tunisia’s Al Nahda party has held quiet talks with the Israelis in Washington and has indicated that Palestine will not be a priority for the new Tunisian government.

The Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is dithering over maintaining existing peace treaties with Israel; the sticking point seems to be how many billions of dollars in aid they’ll receive for selling out.

Thus far in a area undergoing rapid change, Syria is the player not playing the game, standing firm against the US and Israel on the one hand and the rising Saudi-Gulf axis on the other.

Make no mistake “The West” is on the hunt for another war in the Middle East. War is profitable business; why else do you think military supplier BAE systems announced an 18% rise in profits yesterday, amidst a global recession.

The essence of the campaign against Syria is ultimately Iran. Provocation with scientists being assassinated and the US navy on the Straits of Hormuz are a clear intention to goad Iran into retaliating and providing a pretext for the armed attack that many in Israel and the US want.

Syria, UN Veto’s & Western Foreign Policy

So what are we to make of the situation in Syria?

The UK, US and France have vigorously attempted to get a UN security resolution passed on the ever worsening conditions in Syria, a resolution which has been vetoed by both permanent UNSC members China & Russia.

The Russian envoy to the UNSC, Vitaly Churkin has insisted that:

“Some influential members of the international community unfortunately… have been undermining the opportunity for political settlement, calling for a regime change, pushing the oppositionists to power”

You have to question the real motives of the Western diplomats and their Arab allies. Susan Rice, the US ambassador to the UN has made blustering statements on the veto:

“sell out the Syrian people and shield a craven tyrant……any further bloodshed that flows will be on their hands”

Our very own William Hague hasn’t been that far behind his American counterpart, stating the veto:

“lets the Syrian people down, and will only encourage President Assad’s brutal regime to increase the killing”

Almost every single player involved in this unfolding tragedy are engaged in the same manner of self righteous indignation. The same players of course that were prominent in the regime change in Libya.

I’m no fan of the regimes in Damascus, Moscow or Beijing, but are they right to veto the resolution?

Yes

But not for the whiter than white reasons they might claim.

There is a far greater game being carved out in the Middle East, sadly our media (as well as Al Jazeera) is presenting it as a simple case of acrimony amidst the geo-political self interests of China and Russia, against the benevolent and kind hearted nature of UNSC members that supported the resolution.

The resolution was of course itself driven by political machinations, by strategic demands and  potential gains. It is downright perfidious to suggest that the real concerns of the western political powers are with the Syrian people.

In fact some media commentators have stated that the unfolding conflict in Syria has been covered with “less interest in empirically collected data and more reliance on hysteria and manipulation and rumour.”

For example, last Friday’s attack on Homs was reported to have killed more than two hundred people, in reality the number was later revised to fifty five.  Fifty five deaths too many, but when your only sources are “activists” that you are using to bolster another western intervention, the veracity of the information cannot be guaranteed. The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree where the Assad’s are concerned. Basher’s father, Hafez gave the go ahead for the Hama massacre of February 1982 that left tens of thousands of Syrians dead.

Do I condemn Assad and his regime, of course I do, whole heartedly, but not for the same reasons of self interest “The West” has.

With Libya as the new template for regime change, we have to ask the questions that no one else is asking:

Why is there not a greater split amongst the Assad regime?

Who are the “Free Syrian Army”?

Who are the “Syrian National Council”?

Who is arming the rebel factions?

Why are Qatar acting as a military and media cheerleader?

Why have the Saudi’s declared it recognises the Syrian National Council and what is their motivation in doing so?

The written testimony of Philip Giraldi, a former CIA officer is worth considering. He claimed last year that:

“NATO is already clandestinely engaged in the Syrian conflict”

If this is correct, why are NATO involved in conspiratorial schemes of regime change, deemed illegal under international law ?

Would you be surprised to know that the self styled Christian crusading knight and uber mercenary Erik Prince and his Blackwater boys have been carrying out covert operations in Syria since January 2011. In a recent interview, Prince stated:

“In Syria, we did the signals intelligence to geo-locate the bad guys in a very denied area”

So will direct intervention like in Libya improve the situation?

These are the questions to which we should be demanding answers, yet they are not even being asked. The official narrative (same as Libya) is of the archetypal evil Arab tyrant, butchering his own people. These narratives are of course promoted by the very same people who want regime change in Syria.

Are atrocities being committed?

Yes.

Can we say conclusively who is committing them all?

The Arab League observer mission (not that it carries much gravitas, when tyrants from equally abhorrent murderous neighbouring states are doing the observing) stated it is not conclusive who is perpetrating the acts of terror in Syria. If we believe NATO and effectively the US is on the ground in Syria in some capacity, could they be responsible for some of them?

The cases of full Western invention are being made, with the now well worn ‘we cannot stand idly by’ argument that “The West” should provide the opposition with special forces training of the kind that was provided in Libya

The policy for Syria is being developed in America, of that there should be no doubt.

Therefore it’s probably best to leave you with the cold hearted realism of the realpolitik espoused by neo con and “Israel firster” Charles Krauthammer. In a recent op-ed piece in The Washington Post the game plan for regime change in Syria and external intervention were made all too startlingly clear:

“His (Assad) fall would deprive Iran of an intra-Arab staging area and sever its corridor to the Mediterranean. Syria would return to the Sunni fold. Hezbollah, Tehran’s agent in Lebanon, could be next, withering on the vine without Syrian support and Iranian material. Hamas would revert to Egyptian patronage.  At the end of this causal chain, Iran, shorn of key allies and already reeling from economic sanctions over its nuclear program, would be thrown back on its heels”

He continued:

“Force the issue. Draw bright lines. Make clear American solidarity with the Arab League against a hegemonic Iran and its tottering Syrian client. In diplomacy, one often has to choose between human rights and strategic advantage. This is a rare case where we can advance both — so long as we do not compromise with Russia or relent until Assad falls.”

Does it make it clearer now?

It’s Iran and it always has been about Iran.

After the illegal invasion of Iraq for the purpose of regime change, “The West” quickly learnt that the blowback on their own shores from a restive Muslim population would cause immense problems. So how do “The West” engineer regime change now?

In the aftermath of the September 11 attacks, General Wesley Clark, the retired four-star American General and former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO, stated that he was privy to discussions that described how:

“we’re going to take out seven countries, starting with Iraq, and then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and, finishing off, Iran.”

The conditions for a similar strategy of tension are being unrolled in Lebanon, with a cargo containing huge amounts of US dollars, guns, special passports and credit cards having been seized upon arrival in Beirut this morning.

Understand that whilst our politicians in the UK pontificate about the ever worsening condition of the Syrian people, the real drivers for the resolution come from the Americans.

They are not concerned about the slaughter in Syria or anywhere else in the region. Their murderous intent of reshaping the region is polished with the veneer of respectability afforded by the useful idiots in the FCO and the media right here in the UK.

For me, the motives are clear, and that’s why I will not support any UNSC resolutions bought forward by America and her cronies.

The King Gaddafi is dead. Long live the King NATO

As I came around, feeling rather sick & groggy I switched my phone on to receive several congratulatory messages about the death of Muammar Gaddafi.

I’m not in much of a celebratory mood, so I’ll keep it brief.

I was pretty disgusted with Al Jazeera’s blood letting footage of Gaddafi being dragged through the streets.

And yes he was captured alive, before being executed.

You can see the Mistress of Destruction Hilary Clintons reaction to Gaddafi’s demise, perhaps her glee wouldn’t have been so forthcoming if she knew the camera’s weren’t rolling.

I remember the cries of the west when the bodies of yankee mercenaries are dragged through the streets in Iraq, yet the images of Gaddafi’s dead body on TV is comes more anticipated than a world cup final, with expert white man analysis included.

So let’s celebrate death again.

Like we did with Saddam, like we did with Bin Laden, like we did with Awlaki.

Gaddafi is dead.

Let’s pass around the photos & videos, let’s give each other high fives & cheer on looking at his corpse.

This death porn is making me sick.

You’ve replaced one tyrant leader with a NATO puppet.

In 20 years time, a Libyan will come to London or to Paris, blow himself & countless other civilians up, and we’ll wonder why he did it.

There will be no reconstruction in Libya.

There will be a flood of capital from the PEOPLES Oil wealth into French & British companies bank accounts.

ITV Documentary Exposure: ‘Libya, Gaddafi & the IRA’ used footage from videogames to bolster war propaganda

Here’s an upload of a video from Monday nights ITV documentary into Colonel Gaddhafi’s supposed support of the IRA. It contains shocking footage of a helicopter being shot down using weapons allegedly supplied by the Libyan baddie to the IRA baddies.

Except of course it’s actually from a video game “ArmA 2”.

The first episode of Exposure, which was watched by 1.3 million viewers, examined the relationship between the former Libyan dictator and the IRA.

The shaky camera footage, captioned “IRA film 1988” showed a helicopter being shot down accompanied by a voiceover: “With Gaddafi’s heavy machine guns it was possible to shoot down a helicopter as the terrorists’ own footage of 1988 shows.”

“This was what the security forces feared most,” said the voiceover. “It may have been a lucky hit, but for the army and crew once was enough. No one died in this attack.”

Words absolutely fail me.

ITV have been caught absolutely red handed in fabricating propaganda to promote Britain’s farcical role as co-cheerleader (along with mini napoleon psychozy) for the war over Libya’s natural resources.

If you’re looking for the footage in the documentary in the ITV player – I would tell you where to go and watch it (the footage is in place from 28 minutes, 20 seconds) but being rumbled, ITV have pulled their war profiteering propaganda.

William Hague has already stated that Britain “won’t be left behind” in getting it’s share of contracts in Libya, with David Cameron chipping in with the UK will “play its part”.

The official aim of the “Friends of Libya” summit was to split up the mineral wealth and the reconstruction (of all the areas blown up by NATO, UK & France) contracts, in essence expropriating Libyan wealth by other means.

We’ve seen all the “reconstruction” projects in Afghanistan & Iraq right?

The infrastructure destroyed by the Americans & British in their illegal invasion means Iraq has massive shortfalls of electricity, with blackouts commonplace.

The money earmarked for reconstruction?

$6.6 Billion the US government’s auditing department have declared as being stolen.

Add into the mix that the real power-broking was happening behind the scenes to carve up Libya, with UK oil firms pressing William Hague to get them the juiciest fruits from the Libyan tree.

Is Gaddafi a mad man?

Of course he is, if a man coins the phrase “Allah, Muammar & Libya only” you know he’s a little bit special.

Then again Robert Mugabe isn’t that far off…nor is our favourite North Korean Kim Jong-Il, but guess what, none of those countries have any mineral wealth or a strategic advantage that we need, so we leave them alone.

OIL – Operation Invade Libya, it’s always been about oil.

That’s why the CIA sent 1500 Al Qaeda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya & why regime change was needed – OIL!

That’s why the mass media produce propaganda like ITV1’s Exposure Gaddafi & the IRA, to reinforce their message as to why it’s necessary to blow up another country, because if the people knew the real reasons why in 20 years time a Libyan wants to attack the UK, it has nothing to do with the BS notion of “freedom and democracy” but the war, murder and theft that was committed in the name of the citizens of the UK by our government.

This is what our soldiers are dying for, there is no noble cause, there are no ideals you are defending. British soldiers are finally getting the picture that it’s all “about strategic influence; economics & mineral wealth”.

It is the interests of multinational corporations that will lobby the government and if not the ruling government, then its political rivals who will drop their pants and bendover to the same corporate & media leeches that will back them into getting into Downing Street.

It’s cost the us, the taxpayer, more than £1.75bn to bomb Libya, at a time where government spending is being slashed left, right and centre, but they can still fund highly dubious acts of aggression abroad.

Now that’s a freedom and democracy that I never voted for.

CIA sent 1500 Al Qaeda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya & why regime change was needed – OIL!

The CIA sent 1500 Al-CIAda fighters from Afghanistan to Libya, Abdel Hakim Belhaj is a Al-CIAda asset and leader of the Rebel army and finally both the CIA & Mi6 had a solid working relationship with Gaddafi.

Don’t expect any of that making the mainstream media though, so let The Akh break it down for you.

Libya has always been about oil & grabbing natural resources, I made that point clear back in April in my post “O.I.L. – Operation Invade Libya” and the excellent analysis of “PETROLEUM & EMPIRE IN NORTH AFRICA”

I have written long and hard on how the US military industrial complex created Al-Qaeda (as I refer to them Al-CIAda) under my intelligence section of “Creating the terror threat”.

On 31 August 2011 The Nation (Pakistan newspaper) reported:

The CIA recruited 1,500 members of Al-Qaeda, from Mazar-e-Sharif in Afghanistan, to fight in Libya.

Sources told The Nation:

“Most of the men have been recruited from Afghanistan.

“They are Uzbeks, Persians and Hazaras…

“Men attired in the Uzbek-style of shalwar and Hazara-Uzbek Kurta were found fighting in Libyan cities.”

“Some Uzbeks and Hazaras from Afghanistan were arrested in Balochistan for illegally traveling into Pakistan en route to Libya”

This is trustworthy reporting for one major reason, The US recently admitted they are paying off Pakistani journalists to write propaganda on it’s behalf.

It makes no sense that a journalist in Pakistan would write such a piece, after all thats what Pakistani investigative journalist Syed Saleem Shahzad wrote “Inside Al-Qaeda & the Taliban, Beyond Bin Laden and 9/11” exposing the links the US & Pakistan have with Al-CIAda, and it got him murdered.

Aljazeera has reported on the smuggling of Afghans through Pakistan.

More than 100 Afghans were discovered 20km from the border town of Quetta last week inside a container.

Most of the men were recruits for Libya’s rebel force.

Abdel hakim Belhaj is now the military boss in Tripoli.

He has long been linked to Al-CIAda.

Belhaj’s ‘Tripoli Brigade’, was trained in secret for two months by US Special Forces

Meanwhile documents found in one Gaddafi’s abandoned bases show that both Mi6 & CIA had a good solid working relationship with Gaddafi sending their kidnapped Muslims to Libya to be tortured to death.

What you have witnessed in Libya is regime change, instead of being carried out by american troops on the ground, you’ve had Britain & France pulling the strings, with NATO providing the firepower.

Previously, the Labour governments foreign policy was to kill Muslims for their natural resources.

The Conservatives foreign policy is to let the Muslims kill each other & then to negotiate a percentage on rebuilding (what we just destroyed) and get a share of the oil contracts.

William Hague stated that Britain “will not be left behind” on receiving its share of Libyan contracts.

The race is now well and truly on for Libyan oil, with Britain & France both staking their claims, and being blasé enough to admit it publicly.

Expect Tripoli to be renamed TripOIL any time soon.

You didn’t honestly believe that with all the hundreds of millions spent in Libya, the principal investors wouldn’t seek a return on their investment?

Blatant enough why regime change was needed?

Syrian Defence Ministry website gets hacked – Nerds are the new Commandos!

As ASSad continues with the Ramadan Massacre of his own people and The West umms, ooh & ahhs before deciding to issue a statement, the enterprising hacktivists of Anonymous took control of the Ministry of Defence’s website today, posting images of dead protesters with the following message, as the snapshot of the website shows:

To the Syrian people: The world stands with you against the brutal regime of Bashar Al-Assad. Know that time and history are on your side – tyrants use violence because they have nothing else, and the more violent they are, the more fragile they become. We salute your determination to be non-violent in the face of the regime’s brutality, and admire your willingness to pursue justice, not mere revenge. All tyrants will fall, and thanks to your bravery Bashar Al-Assad is next.

To the Syrian military: You are responsible for protecting the Syrian people, and anyone who orders you to kill women, children, and the elderly deserves to be tried for treason. Back in April, hackers also took over the website of Syria’s parliament, posting pictures of protesters and playing patriotic songs.

A few weeks ago The Scum’s website was hacked, with the following page mocked up and left for the world to see;

With the rioters in Tottenham and Brixton coordinating their looting spree’s via text messaging, BBM, facebook and twitter the era of having secure comms is no longer to the advantage of the authorities.

With hackers stealing data from governments the world over
and making it available in the public domain are we witnessing a rebalance of the information age or the beginnings of anarchy?

Considering that the US have already had their law enforcement intranets already hacked The Akh wonders how long before the supposedly untouchable pentagon get hit?

Seeing we’re in the era of 4GW (fourth generational warfare) where private robot armies are fighting it out as technological advances open the way for the clashes of DIY terminators, imagine what would happen if someone sitting in their bedroom on the other side of the world hacked into and took control of the hunter killer terminators?

The yanks aren’t letting on, but their F-35s have joined the F-22s in being “stood down”. Electrical problems should be read in the same vein as you’d hear that the helicopter suffered “technical problems” IT WASN’T SHOT DOWN!

Superman renounces his U.S. citizenship, thanks to America’s foreign policy!

Superman has renounced his American citizenship and he blames the Israeli influence on U.S. foreign policy as the prime reason for his action.

The Akh stopped reading comics graphic novels a while back, but now and again there’s a story that gets me intrigued. Tipped off by one my “stans” to the machinations of Action Comics issue 900, which sees Superman renounce his American citizenship.

Now I know what you’re thinking, what do comics….dammit….graphic novels have to do with anything?

Well for one, they shape public opinion, and when that is of a cultural icon that is as American as cinnamon & apple pie itself, then perhaps we need to understand that the popular groundswell of public opinion within America itself is turning against it’s pro Israeli influenced government.

So let me break it down for you, despite very literally being an alien immigrant (like the yanks love to call them) Superman has long been seen as an emblem of American patriotism, a symbol of “truth, justice, and the American way”.

The symbolic resonance has always been there, from his embrace of traditional American ideals to the iconic red and blue of his costume.

However, what it means to stand for the “American way” is an increasingly complicated thing, both in the real world and in superhero comics, whose storylines have increasingly seemed to mirror current events and deal with moral and political complexities rather than simple black and white morality.

So what we had was Superman consulting with the President’s national security advisor, who is incensed that Superman appeared in Tehran to non-violently support the protesters demonstrating against the Iranian regime, no doubt an analogue for the recent real-life protests in the Middle East.

The only bit of hokum there, is that it is Iran and not Egypt.

Superman replies that it was foolish to think that his actions would not reflect politically on the American government, and that he therefore plans to renounce his American citizenship at the United Nations the next day – because the American government do not want him to be on the side of the people, against the leaders installed to do America (read Israel) bidding.

It wasn’t that long ago that Batman had a new Muslim recruit to help him fight crime. Then again, you can always meet Captain Israel, ethnic cleanser, murderer, hero for the politically indoctrinated zionists.

The Akh has been saying it for years, and now even Superman himself agrees, it is America’s foreign policy, aided, abetted and influenced by Israel that is the cause for so much torturous woe across the world.

The Ulema should be supporting the Uprising’s throughout the Muslim world

For my Jummah Khutbah (Friday reminder) The Akh wishes to share with you the words of Damascus’s Shaykh Muhammed al-Yaqoubi, a righteous scholar who has shown he follows the true principles of Islam by by not siding with the rulers but with the people to show that their should be no fear on the choice of resistance.

The Akh has been very critical of our Ulema and their glowing endorsement for corrupt leaderships the world over – especially for the morally bankrupt house of frauds.

There is no doubt that there is a massive role for the Ulema to play in leading the Ummah, by giving Muslims the correct Islamic direction. Through their silence however, the Muslim people have been left with no other choice but to take to the streets, to demand the rights bestowed upon them by Allah Az’Wajjal and to remove the oppressive conditions that have been constricted them for decades.

While Shaykhs up and down this country have been telling people not to question their leaders, the Islamic rulings on demonstrations and how they are obligatory to remove these heinous conditions are set out with existing Fatawa’s, but they are conveniently overlooked.

National unity is a must, with all groups amongst the people pull in the same direction to demand the lifting of the oppressive conditions and the establishment of justice, so that the country and its people are above all other political considerations and not to be held hostage to the influence of any foreign power (Western foreign policy).

The Ulema have to take a courageous stance, there is no doubt that Muslims are looking at their Islamic leaders for advice like they have never done before, people are waiting on the words of scholars before taking any action. You can see this as most demonstrations start from the Masajid, Shaykh’s have a huge role in shaping public opinion.

Islam and the Prophets (Peace be upon all of them) never wanted us to surrender to injustice;

Hadith

“The best of all martyrs are Hamzah (ibn Abdul-Muttalib) and a man who stood before an unjust leader, commanding him to do right and avoid evil, so the leader killed him.” [al-Haakim]

Then he the Prophet continued: “Nay, by Allah, you either enjoin good and forbid evil and catch hold of the hand of the oppressor and persuade him to act justly and stick to the truth, or, Allah will involve the hearts of some of you with the hearts of others and curse you as he had cursed them” [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (pbuh) said, “The best type of jihad is speaking a true word in the presence of a tyrant ruler” [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Whoever amongst you sees an evil, he must change it with his hand; if he is unable to do so, then with his tongue; and if he is unable to do so, then with his heart; and that is the weakest form of faith” [Muslim]

Abu-Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) said that he heard the Prophet (pbuh) saying “When people see an oppressor but do not prevent him from (doing evil) then it is likely that Allah will punish them all” [Abu Dawud and At-Tirmidhi]

Quran

You are now the best people brought forth for (the guidance and reform of) mankind.You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.[Ale-Imran 110]

…….We rescued those who forbade evil and afflicted the wrong-doers with a grievous chastisement because of their evildoing. [Al-Araf 165]

Allah says to Musa (AS) “And go to Pharaoh now for he has transgressed all bounds. [Taha 24]”

Just as Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi said months ago:

“Political authority and religion are kin brothers, neither would stand but by its companion; because religion is the foundation of political power and its pillar, and political power is the guardian of religion; political power is not established with a foundation, and religion cannot be implemented without authority.”

Insh’Allah you’ll be off to the Masajid in a few hours, if your Shaykh is not addressing these issues, then ask him politely why?

Until the mimbars in our masajids do not reverberate and the hearts of the believers do not resonate with the power of words like his, the Muslim Ummah will remain oppressed and the Muslim leaders will remain tyrannical.

Saudi Shaykh, Salman Al-`Awdah, was banned from travelling from Saudi Arabia. He was not allowed to attend a conference in Egypt. Apparently, he offended the kingdom when he praised all Arab revolutions and said that not one Arab country would be spared.

HipHop Provides the Soundtrack to The Arab Spring

Since December, musicians have been responding to — and provoking — the protests in countries like Egypt and Tunisia, and much of the music being made about these movements is hip-hop.

Some of these songs have played a direct role in popular uprisings, while others have helped galvanize international support. Songs are rapped in both English and Arabic, and international collaborations have helped to spread the music over the Internet, via Facebook and YouTube.

If you go back to the early days of rap, its whole culture was created by the era’s disaffected inner-city youth. Nowadays, this outspoken form of entertainment has itself been distorted and made redundant by the very street culture that implemented it; instead of expressing a disenfranchised youth, hip hop artists exploit it.

It’s interesting to see how artists are adopting the former approach, to use their voices to wax lyrical about modern-day political strife – except on a global level rather than urban.

Here’s five of the best tracks:

Khaled M, Libya: “Can’t Take Our Freedom (feat. LowKey)”

Rapper Khaled M was born in the U.S. after his parents fled the regime of dictator Moammar Gadhafi. For “Can’t Take Our Freedom” he raps in English, drawing on the story of his father, a poet imprisoned by Gadhafi who fled with his family to Lexington, Kentucky, while also referencing the revolutions in Egypt and Tunisia.

Omar Offendum: “#Jan25 Egypt (feat. The Narcicyst, Freeway, Ayah, Amir Sulaiman)”

“#Jan25 Egypt” was made by Arab-Americans, African-Americans and Canadians, most of whom were living in the U.S. at the time of the Egyptian Revolution. Syrian rapper Omar Offendum told Al Jazeera he contributed to the song to show “solidarity with the Egyptian people” and told NPR that the “true music of the revolution” was made by protesters on the fly. “#Jan25 Egypt” begins by refuting Gil Scott-Heron’s oft-repeated line: “I heard them say the revolution won’t be televised / Al Jazeera proved them wrong.”

Ibn Thabit, Libya: “Benghazi II”

Rapper Ibn Thabit’s website says he “has been attacking Gaddafi with his music since 2008.” On the site he offers dozens of songs for free, many of which were produced in collaboration with other Libyan rappers, producers and singers, musicians from Egypt and producers and engineers from the U.S.

Arabian Knightz, Egypt: “Rebel (feat. Lauryn Hill)”

Arabian Knightz trade a verse in Arabic for one in English, then allow their song to devolve into a sample of Lauryn Hill singing “I Find It Hard To Say (Rebel)” during her 2002 MTV Unplugged performance, in which the singer rasps “Rebel, rebel, rebel, rebel,” over and over again. According to the group’s YouTube channel, they recorded the song in late January, and weren’t able to release it until the government stopped blocking the Internet a couple of weeks later.

El General, Tunisia: “Rayes Le Bled”

Hamada Ben Amor performs under the name El General. His song, “Rayes Le Bled,” which hit Facebook in late December, is a direct indictment of then-president Ben Ali’s rule, specifically, widespread hunger. Ben Amor’s arrest in early January sparked further protests in the already turbulent country, and when the revolution ended, “Rayes Le Bled” could be heard on radio stations across the country.

Israeli Mossad agent captured in Cairo was involved in terrorist activities in Egypt

An American-Israeli Mossad agent with multiple identities – Ilan Chaim Grappelli/Grapel – was arrested in Egypt, after Egyptian authorities surveillance suspected him of plotting a campaign of sabotage and harming Egyptian economic and political interests.

The Egyptian authorities and the state news agency revealed on Sunday June 12 2011 that they have arrested Ilan Chaim Grappelli/Grapel, (אילן גרפל ), known in Israel as Ilan Goren (אילן גורן), an American-Israeli Mossad agent, a war criminal who participated in the atrocities of the Lebanon “second war” in 2006, and a former paratrooper soldier who had infiltrated the Egyptian revolutionists and was causing trouble, spying on the military and the revolutionaries, photographing people and reporting to the Mossad, distributing money to some Egyptians and recruiting them in order to cause chaos, to steal and to sabotage public infrastructure in the country.

Grappelli had also been organizing a series of protest movements and preparing them to disobey orders of the military authorities after the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak.

Presiding judge Hesham Badawi of the supreme state security prosecution ordered the detention of the israeli spy for 15 days for pending investigations into his alleged spying on Egypt with the aim of sabotaging and harming its economic and political interests. The israeli mossad spy was arrested at a famous hotel in Cairo with a laptop and three mobile phones.

According to the Egyptian intelligence services, Grappelli, the Mossad officer appeared in Egypt shortly before the start of the January 25 uprising, he entered the country with a forged visa and he was among the first elements that existed in Tahrir Square, and he was photographed and his movements followed closely after he had raised suspicions. He visited several regions in Egypt, including North of Sinai, He monitored gas pipelines, the relationship between the Egyptians and the Palestinians. The spy introduced himself to the resistance at Al-Tahrir Square as a “foreign correspondent” supposedly covering the anti-government protests in Cairo. The movements and phone calls of the spy were monitored and filmed in Egypt before his arrest.

Several images of the spy were released by the Egyptian authorities, showing that he had appeared in various places throughout Egypt. In some images is seen raising signs among the demonstrators, in another one he appears at the jewish synagogue, and in others he is seen around areas affected by violence and troubles.

The Egyptian intelligence service was able to track the messages and contacts of the mossad agent with the Israeli government and to some western countries and the USA. The monitoring process confirmed the suspicions about the seditious role which the spy and his backers played in creating chaos in Egypt in an attempt at pre-empting the revolution of the twenty-fifth of January, by way of fomenting sectarian violence between the Egyptians.

Information gathered by the Egyptian intelligence service confirmed that the Israeli spy belonged to the Israeli military and that he had been injured during the Lebanon war of 2006.

According to intelligence sources, Goren/Grapel/Grappelli had participated directly in the heinous massacres, war crimes against Lebanese villagers in southern Lebanon. They also published some of his pictures with military uniform during the second Lebanon war.

The Mossad spy admitted that he was assigned to a variety of roles in Egypt in order to generate trouble and that he had paid money to some elements in Egypt so that they would assist him in the implementation of the plan, which was about causing strife and chaos in the country and repeating rumours that would prevent the stabilization of the situation in Egypt. He also admitted that he had paid some elements for the dissemination of rumours and for exploding the pipeline which provides Israel and Jordan with gas.

Egyptian sources pointed out that the confessions of the this Mossad operative will reveal amazing facts about some of the horrible incidents which took place during the last months, especially during the outbreak of the people’s ‘revolution’ and ‘liberation’ of Egypt.

It should be noted that previously, three alleged Mossad espionage cells were dismantled in Lebanon and Syria and that Israel has a history of implanting Mossad cells all over western and Arab countries and that there are no doubts that it is behind many horrible crimes such as assassinations of politicians, theft, smuggling of drugs, jewelry, diamonds, weapons, organ trafficking etc., all perpetrated for the advantage of Israel and other Zionist interests. Simply said, Israel is a big threat for security of all people and countries of the world.

The US State Department issued a statement on Sunday reacting to Grapelli’s detention, saying that their Embassy in Cairo “is providing Grapel with the necessary help which provided to all US citizens arrested overseas”. The statement pointed that consular officers visited Gabrel and that the embassy will be in contact with the Egyptian authorities to ensure that he is “being treated fairly under local law”.
