Brother Ali Announces New Album “Mourning In America & Dreaming In Colour”

Brother Ali has announced the upcoming release of his fourth full-length album “Mourning in America and Dreaming in Colour” dropping August 21st.

You can listen to the first track “Stop the press” of the new album below:

Brother Ali explained the concept behind the new album:

“This is not just a new album, but a new chapter. There’s a kind of democratic reawakening in people at this point in time. I was really looking to take these topics and really hit them hard. To try to open ears and hearts and invite people to take some action and feel empowered. To be engaged and take some agency and responsibility for what’s going on in the world.”

Fully recharged and inspired by his eye-opening first trip to Mecca, the 2011 uprisings in the Middle East, and the worldwide Occupy movements, Brother Ali is prepared to unveil Mourning In America and Dreaming In Color. Created during a prolific, self-imposed two-month exile in Seattle and helped by platinum-selling producer Jake One, the album represents a brave new phase in Brother Ali’s remarkable career trajectory. Mourning In America and Dreaming In Colour presents a scathing, yet honest, critique of America and its many flaws while simultaneously presenting a hopeful outlook of its possibilities.

Mourning In America and Dreaming In Colour, in all its sonic and lyrical glory, promises to be both the voice of a burgeoning new critical American consciousness as well as the beacon of hope for those that hold fast to its ideals and potential. This is Brother Ali as you’ve never heard him before.

The album is released on August 21 & is available to pre-order on the Rhymesayers website now

Hotter Than A Pile Of Curry is Three years old!

Catch me on twitter @HotterThanCurry

That’s right, Hotter Than A Pile Of Curry turns three years old today!

765 published posts, hundreds of thousands of views and endless comments….The Akh thanks you for your patronage over the last few years and hopefully look forward to your continued support over the coming years.

Over the last few years, I’ve mapped out how a potent mix of an unethical and murderous Foreign Policy primarily influenced by zionist interests is contributing to a never ending & escalating War of Terror.

The ones to benefit from this of course are special self interest groups, like the Military Industrial Complex who make money from every bullet and bomb that’s fired.

In amidst all of this Muslims in Britain have struggled with their identity and how to implement the Quran, Hadith and Sunnah to inspire, guide and lift this Ummah out of the oppressive conditions it faces.

Many a Muslim in the UK has been cowered into silence thanks to the COINTELPRO strategies of the intelligence agencies designed to make Muslims look bad in the eye of the masses. Coupled with a rise in the far right racist movements like the English Defence League and the militant jewish zionist extremists these exemplify the ever increasing threats Muslims in the UK face resulting in a rise in Islamophobic incidents.

The only way through this, is to realise the forgotten fard of Jihad Fi’Sabeel’Allah within media and politics.

Examples of Non Muslim Extremism have to be highlighted wherever possible, to show the hypocrisy of the political establishment.

This comes at a time where media ownership and control have been shown to be as important as politics itself.

If you needed it, the Islamic reasoning for Muslim participation in the fields of media and politics are clear cut.

As Muslims across the Middle East fight for their freedom it’s high time Muslims realise the freedoms we have in the UK, and fight that bit harder to lift the occupation for our people in Palestine.

So, put aside the petty differences that you have been taught, and understand we are all in this struggle together, understand the power and leadership nexus of the past to guide you in to the future.

Muhammed Sbihi Britain’s first Muslim Olympic rower solves Ramadan dilemma

Muhammed Sbihi – Britain’s first Muslim Olympic Rower

Muhammed Sbihi, Britain’s first Muslim Olympic rower has solved the Ramadan fasting dilemma for athletes, instead of fasting during the Olympic games he’ll pay for the meals for 1,800 people in his native Morocco as recompense.

When Muhammed Sbihi was picked for the GB rowing Olympic squad he faced a dilemma, how to marry his faith and to practice the month of Ramadan, where one must abstain from food and drink during the daylight hours and the demands it would have on him as a athlete in a once in a lifetime opportunity?

Willing to find another solution, he then heard about Moroccan goalkeeper Badou Zaki, who though a Muslim never fasted during his time at Real Mallorca in Spain’s La Liga. Instead, he would go to Morocco each year to pay for thousands of meals for the poor.

A cousin in Tangiers, the home town of Muhammed’s father, consulted scholars to come up with the final answer. Muhammed would follow the example of Ezzaiki and provide 60 meals for the poor for each day he misses the fast.

So this summer, up to 1,800 people in Morocco will eat a meal thanks to a 6ft 8in rower chasing a gold medal in the UK.

Islam is a religion of ease, Allah SWT knows the limitations of his creation. Allah, in the Quran, declares that religious morality is easy and that He will make things easier for those who follow their religion:

“He has chosen you and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship”
(Surah Al Hajj: 78)

“We will ease you to the Easy Way”
(Surah A’la: 8)

So well done to brother Muhammed Sbihi, looking forward to seeing you bring home the gold medal, Insh’Allah.

Killer Mike – Reagun – R.A.P. Music

Watch & learn

Killer Mike – Reagan

From his new album RAP Music.

“Ronald Reagan was an actor, not at all a factor
Just an employee of the country’s real masters
Just like the Bushes, Clinton and Obama
Just another talking head telling lies on teleprompters
If you don’t believe the theory, then argue with this logic
Why did Reagan and Obama both go after Qaddafi
We invaded sovereign soil, going after oil
Taking countries is a hobby paid for by the oil lobby
Same as in Iraq, and Afghanistan
And Ahmadinejad say they coming for Iran
They only love the rich, and how they loathe the poor
If I say any more they might be at my door
I’m dropping off the grid before they pump the lead
I leave you with four words: I’m glad Reagan dead”

Go get that album!

American Jews are falling out of love with Israel

Norman Finkelstein was on BBC Hardtalk recently, the topic being discussed – American Jews are falling out of love with Israel.

Finkelstein argued that American Jews are now so unhappy with the murderous and quite frankly indefensible actions of Israel, that they want to distance themselves from that country.

Watch out, the Hardtalk presenter Sarah Montague looks to be an Israeli hasbara agent.

Dr. Finkelstein is adept at putting zionists firmly in their place, even beating the trump card of the holocaust, as this old blog piece testifies.

And if you still want more, I’ll direct you to read “On the Crisis of Zionism” an article on the much discussed Peter Beinart book. You know when Rolling Stone magazine starts covering Palestine it’s getting to be a pretty mainstream issue in America.

Recently Hebrew graffiti denouncing Zionism was sprayed inside Israel’s own Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in occupied Jerusalem:

Translated into English, the above reads as:

“The war of the Zionist regime is not the war of the Jewish people”

What does being “British” mean?

What does being British mean? Is there such a thing as “Britishness”?

With the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations dragging on endlessly, (Kohinoor Diamond stolen from India) there’s a definite split amongst the Royalites and the rest of us, who are indifferent to the The House of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha, you know the German Queen and her Greek Prince husband.

So what does being British actually mean?

What does it mean to be British?

It means I can sit here in England

On an American website

With my Japanese laptop, that was probably made in S.Korea, with Coltan mined by children from war ravaged Congo

Drinking tea from Africa

While sitting on a chair from Sweden

That’s on a rug from Italy.

Later on I may jump into my British car, that’s owned by an Indian corporation

Go to a Dutch owned petrol station, to put in petrol that’s come from Iraq

& finally drive down to eat some Spanish tapas cooked by a Filipino chef.

I’m living the British dream – Benefiting from the legacy of a Global Empire whilst others serve that legacy.

Sadly, Britain isn’t as great as she used to be.

Hang the bunting & let’s celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee!!!

It’s the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee & here’s a few facts, Akh style, to help you celebrate;

In 1917, in the midst of the First World War, The House of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha decided to rebrand and became known as the House of Windsor. It’s leader and King of England, George V didn’t want the English public knowing of his Germanic roots, it wouldn’t go down too well knowing the English King was actually a German.

While we’re on the subject of the First World War, any idea how many millions died all over a Royal family feud? England’s King George V – Germany’s Kaiser Wilhelm II – Russia’s Czar Nicholas II were all cousins, all Grandsons of Queen Victoria.

Millions died because of an internecine family feud between the Kings of Europe.

So hang the bunting, bake a cake, throw a street party.

The Queen is German & Prince Phillip is Greek.

How’s that for multiculturalism England?

Bet you won’t be hearing that on the Daily Mail.
